Question USDM Sport FIT Drag Coefficient ?

I'm trying to find out what the drag coefficient is for the U.S. 2007 Fit Sport. Does anyone know where to find it or what it is ?

The purpose is to try running a Dyno using auterras dyno scan but they don't provide the info and a search doesn't turn it up.

This has come up on this Forum several times since the US introduction in January, and nobody has been able to come up with the info; if Honda has the data they haven't given it out to anyone-- car mags, dealers, etc.

That doesn't sound very promising.

I have the number 0.35 but I don't know where it came from or which model it's for.

Thumbs up 0.35 sounds about right, Thanks

That will work. I was hoping it would be a bit lower like in the upper 0.20's but that sounds about right since the civic hatch for 2002 is 0.36.

Thanks kps. Now if I can just find a road that's flat and straight enough to do the runs without people or cops getting in the way.

To go along with the coefficient, does anyone know the frontal area?

I've looked for this info for the last 10 months, even on the Jazz and found nothing. I did find info on the Honda hybrids but not the Fit. Maybe you can think of a reason Honda is silent? The new EPA ratings will prob. show the Fit as an air hog at higher speeds. LOL

If you look in the "walkaround" section of this site you will see the 2004 Honda Accord is 0.30. The Fit is listed at the btm. but has no readings for drag.

Frontal Area: 23.8 sq. feet

Try the Dyno Scan thread, easily found with the search function at the top of every page. Here's the link.

The FIT has the same drag coefficient as the Scion Xb so it has the aerodynamics of a brick literally.
