Virtually packing a fit with Sketchup?
Virtually packing a fit with Sketchup?
Hey, I'm Sal and I have a manual 2008 LX fit.
Whatever dimensional magic honda put into the fit goes a long way, but with my fifth dog I'm starting to push the limits. I have a plan and measuring everything with a tape measure says it will work. But other people in a dog vehicle setup group have had problems putting less in larger cars so I'm worried. I know the honda fit has awesome storage capabilities, but I'm not sure it is this awesome. And considering I'll be spending a lot on custom-built crash-safe kennels, I'd like to know it will fit for sure before ordering.
So, has anyone here used google sketchup to model packing stuff into their fit? If so, do they have an skp file they can recommend/share? I just need the back area in utility mode.

Maybe just shape some cardboard boxes into the shape they come, and play around with test fitting it in on the cheap. Nothing beats actually doing it in person since you find out how the clearances of doors and existing objects factor in.
