Fittin in the family

Sorry for the pun, hey everyone. Just got my NHBP auto sport fit. All i can say is i LOVE this car...i put 400 miles on it within 2 days already...just because i cant seem to get myself out of the friggin thing. Im just utterly blown away at how fast it is for how little power it has...i keep having to get on the brakes because im suddenly at 80 MPH and i didnt even realize it.

My only problem with it is it came with 16" wheels (not the HFP ones) that seem to be too wide, and they scrape the wheel wells ove some bumps...so im taking it into the dealer tomorrow to see what they can do for me.

But that aside, i am SO happy to finally have my fit!

what rims are they if there not the HFP ones?

ive seen a few dealers slap on some aftermarket ones here and there so its not uncommon.

If they are rubbing, they probably have the wrong offset. Fit wheels have a 55mm offset (it's stamped on the original wheels!)

So, if they put the wrong ones on there, MAKE them put on the ones that do fit - the HFP (Honda Factory Performance) one's! Otherwise, they'd be open to legal problems if you hit a bump, cut a tire, and wreck!!

congrats on the car man!!! Always nice to hear a happy FIT owner even some come into this site to bash it, but they dont know any better just picky people asking for to much for $15k...anyways about those rims change them for what is right for the fit...tell that dealer to give you the 15 inch rims...unless those a$$holes put it on a base model...those must be some heavy a$$ rims you have on your ride man to...not to be negative man, but the rims you should have on your car are the STOCK sport rims...in all brother enjoy the car!!!

Congrats on your new FIT sport.

Take some pictures of your FIT and 16" wheels and post them.

Since the FIT doesn't have an excess of power, light weight wheels are really important for performance.

Normally when the car is new it should be sold as is with standard equiptment. If yours sold with aftermarket 16" wheels then that should have been clearly marked on the invoice along with any charges.

You are entitled to at least the factory 15" alloy wheels and stock tires which are decent.

thats true. I bet the wheels that he has are alot heavier than the stock alloys that the sport comes with...sucks beacuse the heavier the rims are the slower the car will go...so in conclusion you are not feeling the the full potential of your car since its not "stock". I could be wrong, but the only way to compare is to way the rims (+tire) and see the difference. I have seen the aftermarket rims that dealers put on cars...CHEAP STUFF try to get the sport rims bro because thats what you paid for...unless your happy with the 16s you have now...

im not TOO worried about performance just yet...i wanted the HFP wheels but they only ordered the rims, and not the tires, and told me the tires were $400 or so extra, but they said they had these other rims which were chrome and 16 " with the tires which cost the same as just the HFP rims alone, so i said alright thats cool. I dont like the look of the fit with the stockers at all. Plus im still getiing around a 9 second 0-60 with these rims so it doesnt bother me any =P Im just hoping they dont try to charge me in some way for fixing this
