Higher octane useful?
Is there any advantage at all to using 91 octane gas in the Fit?

No.
Higher octane is beneficial for higher compression (or forced induction) engines, or when advancing the timing. The Fit will not take advantage of it.

*the below is just a personal experience, without any scientific research*
After installing the SRI, I do find a different between 87 and 89. With 87, the engine seems to be "lagging"; but it does improve when using 89. Haven't tried 91 or above since I really don't see the idea of using them. Maybe the SRI (with more air available) "requires" the use of 89? Just my .02
