Odyssey PC680 drycell battery + custom Fit mounting bracket...ZOMG!!!1!
I'm parting my car out and when I got to the engine bay I couldn't bear to just toss this out...this mounting bracket came out so perfect it even uses the OEM holes to bolt into place (you will have to drill two additional holes for the plates and I will make a template for whoever buys this).
For those that don't know...Odyssey has been making lightweight all purpose, race specific, and survival/extreme "drycell" batteries for years.
Odyssey PC680
This specific battery is the Odyssey PC680 and it weighs less than 15 lbs. It has worked flawlessly in my Fit for the past two years through Minnesota winters/summers. This battery lists for between $115 and $145:
Here are some pics of the custom mounting bracket:
And a rubber pad to prevent rattling or sliding...FYI, I auto-crossed my Fit with this set up and had no problems whatsoever with slipping or sliding of the battery:
And here is the tie down strap...eye-bolts also screw into existing holes and are included:
As far as I know, no one else has pulled this set up off with as nice of a bracket...I just stumbled on these parts in my garage. When this is gone it's gone...there are no others in existence.
The first $115 + shipping gets everything. This is probably the biggest weight savings you can get in the engine bay
