August 2007 403 GD3 Meet

Hey guys,

Time to start planning! I'm proposing our next meet take place approximately one month from now. I'm thinking either August 18th (Saturday) or August 19th Sunday. Any objections? We should definitely go for a cruise this time around. I think all my 'stuff' will be on my Fit by that time...at least I hope so so I have something to show all of you

hey guys, a good run might be hwy 8 to bragg, conector to 22 east then first right onto 762, then 567 through millerville, then down to black diamond, off to okatoks, hwy 2 north to 22 west back through 567, 762 bragg hwy 8 and home....762 has some major twistys with rolling roadway...at about 8pm midweek no one is on the road..did it twice this week in 2 different cars....too much fun!!! on the week-ends you will see tons of motor cycles, convertibles and super handling performance cars..
speed limit is just right to enjoy the twistys..

Hey Dave, that sounds like a blast. I am a total windy road enthusiast!
We could probably do a quick cruise for some wings, then for those who want to get out and get some twisties in, follow Dave out after.

Any day in August is good for me, providing I can get away from the office

Yeah, that sucked to say the least, I was lucky it didn't do more damage to the roof of my Jeep. I still remember driving in, then BANG-SCREEEECH as what was left of the bike scrapped across the roof of the parkade. Then the crowd of people formed around me while I had to pry it out looking like an idiot. I am sure if somebody caught it on video It would have ended up on AFV at some point.

I picked up my Lids today from Illusive, they look sweet! Can't wait to throw them on, but I have to get the car washed & waxed first haha, I have so many bugs caked on all over the front of my car right now

Would you believe that this is my slow season?

I wrap up my summer job on Aug. 3 so I'm game for weekday/evening jaunts too - except Thursdays. If we go somewhere cool though, my dog may insist on tagging along. I may even convince him to wear his Doggles!

Hmm...the 25th is iffy for me (got a gig and taking visitors to the airport). But I could do the 26th.

Dragonboat! cool!! Which team are you on?

Well, it looks like no matter which date we choose somebody can't go , maybe we should do two? One on Aug 11th, one on Aug 26th... anyway, just thinking out loud here.

True enough, Sugarphreak. Two dates is one way to solve the problem. Perhaps one weekday and one weekend day/night? Or do you usually set these for weekends?
