The kit lens is good; however, I have somehow managed to put a tiny nick on the rear lens element. I'm looking to replace it with a 17-55 down the road.

I am from time to time. I have two DB2s, one in need of a rebuild after a serious accident. I'm too attached to it to see it go.

My wife is into Nikons too. He started with the D70s and kit lens, picked up a 50mm 1.8 (one of her favourite lenses, and it's the cheapest), then got the 18-200 VFR, sold the 18-70 kit lens (kept the D70s), got a D200 with battery grip and also has the fabulous 28-70 2.8 and a 60mm macro lens.

hahaha... That's my third DA in the pic, wrote off two but always ended up finding one again. I have also kept it in a storage right now, can't let it go just like you said.
