I just mailed mine today, hopefully I filled it in properly. lol.

If I'm leasing it, does the registration and lease the same document?

Yup, I've got mine. It took like 4 months or so, from the time I sent it , to the time I got my cheque.

Wow. I was lucky - when I got my Fit June 07, it didn't officially make the rebate list (which had just came out) so Honda covered the $1,000 and it came right off the price I paid when I picked it up. (Honda was fighting the feds over the de-listing of the Fit at the time)
Hope you guys don't have to wait too long.

Its a government rebate cheque in Canada for buying a car that is fuel efficient. It's a $1000. Rumour has it that the rebate program is on it's way out.

Glad I got the '08

Submitted mine beginning of March, Faxed in missing document a month ago. still waiting on the $$. Sales guy said it could take up to 6 months.

I'm really in no rush to get the money because I'm putting it toward buy out at the end of my lease. But the sooner I get it the more interest it can collect for me!

What the hell. I sent mine at the END of March, then they sent it back due to missing registration and I just got my money last week.

I got my gov't form at my local Honda dealership. If you have a 2007 Fit...you don't qualify for the rebate.

Hondas that apply:

2007 and 2008 Civic Hybrid
2008 Civic 5 spd
2008 Fit 5 spd
