Overhead map lights

Anybody do an overhead map light installation? I'm trying to find a place that sells and does it locally

Tried searching on eBay but haven't found anything

I'm driving a GE8

U can try to have the dome light move closer to the windshield... I was given that option when I have my sun roof installed... but I dun think there are map lights out there

What you MAY wanna try to do is a DIY with a JDM Honda Roof Console .. and add LED lights to it?

Apparently from what I've heard, somebody has done map lights on their GD3.

Done with Subaru lights:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ht-my-fit.html

Done with CL lights + home link:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...k-install.html

Problem for me is finding a place that has the map lights. Somebody mentioned something about Element map lights before but I can't find it anymore.

I just wanted to see if any of you guys had it done locally and could point me in the right direction as to where I could go to get the map lights

That's exactly what I'm trying to look for right now.

several options:
There is the JDM map lamp costs around 60USD
There is the 2007 honda civic LX coupe map lights that should cost around 40usd
There is the 2009 honda fit sport map lights that will DEFINITELY fit the GD3.

I went to richmond honda to ask for price and they told me around 80bucks and has to be ordered. I'm gonna try another dealer and also ask my hookup to see if he can get oem parts at cost price.

I'm actually driving a GE8 and not a GD3. I guess I should have put that in my first post but I'm going to assume it'll work on both cars.

What pisses me off is the GE8 actually has a cut out on the roof that would fit it. I went outside and took a pic of it.

My 2009 didn't come with map lights...is that a US only thing that us Canadians got screwed on again?

Please let us know if you can get parts at cost and we can do a group buy or something?

Could you give me the part # for the 09 Fit Sport map lights that the US versions have?

Perhaps we could use that part number and order it from Bernardiparts.com

er.... i got the part #'s off bernardiparts.com...... if i can't find them locally then i will order it from them and ask them to ship it to my USA address....

i tried checking out with canadian address and their "speed" services cost more than $50 and their standard service cost $20. But shipping standard service will most likely have to pay brokerage fees to UPS (probably $50 bucks) so I gave up on UPS long time ago. Been there.. done that!

Another example of Canadians getting screwed over while the Americans get it.

I called Vancouver honda for a quote on 07 civic lx coupe maplights.

They cost $67+tax and needs to be ordered in. Takes 4 days to come in from toronto. Sounds decent. The extra $20 bucks saved from buying from the states is not worth my time and effort.

I'm sick of Honda having different options like this between the USA and Canada. The only real option that Canadians need different is DRL's.
