Minor scratches and dents to the front lip paint.. hopefully waxing it will help. Wheels will definitely need to be realigned due to all the pot wholes created by PEOPLE WITH CHAINS AROUND THEIR TIRES.

I was plowing through the snow and thought, "This would suck if I lowered my ride."

My car is only a month old so I basically refused to drive it in this weather. I'm a teacher, so luckily I don't have to go anywhere for another week or so. My old car was slammed which made driving in the snow very challenging. I'm apprehensive to lower my 09 fit for this reason alone.

Yeah Scaldy I will try not to drive it too if it's so new. Especially with those idiots on the road, u just never know when your car is gonna get hit by someone.

Btw welcome to local FitFreak. I see more & more new people coming here which is great! Did u do some local autocross events before? Just wondering coz u're wearing a helmet with big Kumho sticker on it.........

I could still kick myself for putting my Ford Ranger XLT into the sale when I got the Fit. It was paid in full and only cost me 56.00 a year for taxes and would have been 25.00 extra a month for liability only insurance. It would have been nice to have something that was already dinged and banged up to put on the road on those days and leaving the Fit in the garage for better days.

Cat :x

I don't drive the Fit in the snow except one time to test out the cable chains.
Also I removed all the OEM Sport lips&sideskirt so it was fine

Bottom protective shield ripped off

Hi,
If you can imagine this, with only all-season tires, I drove in the blizzard on Dec 24 from Richmond to downtown and then all the way up to the end of Mountain Hwy in North Van (taking a roundabout route when the hill got too slippery). Amazed car got me there.
Then, New Year's Eve, going south on Cambie Street in Van., I turned into the next side street over and it was unplowed and had hard, deep snow. Big 4-wheel drive SUV forced me off the road and I hit deep snow, got stuck, reversed and somehow got back into the tracks. I looked at my car a couple of days after as I kept smelling fuel. The bottom was ripped open.
When I took it into the dealer to get fixed, they only "repaired it as best as possible". WTF! My car is under warranty for another year. Shouldn't they replace it so it's back to normal? Besides, I still smell fuel and I also noticed both my tires (front and back) on the left side of the car point backwards but dealer said they're "non-directional" tires.
Is this just B.S. and should I be contacting someone with greater authority? Thank you all for your feedback.
