Official BC Meets WA BBQ, June 27th/28th

Alright, you can read the thread for the discussion that happened in planning but for now, this is the official plan:

When: June 27, 2009
Where: Silver Lake, Thornton A Sullivan Park, Everett, Wa
Time: Roll-in starts 1230pm.
What to bring: BYOMeat, BYODrinks, cooler, camera, chairs, lake stuff, a good attitude
BBQ time: Start @ 2pm till food is exhausted

You may want to have stopped to get breakfast as the bbq's will be fired up after the normal lunch hour. I am going to rent out the shelter down by the beach if anyone wants to contribute to the cost of this ($65) feel free to either donate the day of or PM for earlier donations.

So it has been decided at the meet will be on Saturday, June 27th.
Are the organizers still considering a second meet & greet on Sunday, June 28th over late breakfast or brunch?

Looks like there are some who definitely cannot make on Saturday, but can on Sunday.

Spoonek4, you can't take fresh meat, veggie or fruits across the border.
My suggestion would be to buy them after you cross the border at Costco
in Ferndale or Bellingham.

If the meat (hotdogs and/or hamburger patties) is for the BBQ meet, I can take you (and whoever wants to shop for grocery items) to Costco in Bellingham.

Since you guys are meeting up in Blaine @ 10:30AM, I'll just wait for you at Bellis Fair and we can all proceed to Costco together.

There is a Costcutter supermarket in Blaine, Wa. located in "H" Street, but stuff in Costco is better and cheaper.
Likewise, there is also a Costcutter branch in Bellingham off Guide Meridian.

There is also a Costco in Everett which I will probably goto before I meet up with everyone else. If anyone needs to get in or want to meet up at Costco let me know.

Yanks and Hosers in Everett? I might have to drag my lazy butt and SSM 09 Fit sp mt up there. I might be able to find the hibachi, some good meat, a little homebrew and my speedo (JK).

I have Costco Membership so for us Canadians who wanna get stuff at US Costco, follow my lead - there is costco at Tulalip, just before exit 202.

Final headcount, who is coming from Canada? And Spoonek, we meeting after the border or at Lai Do?

Lai Dou for Breakfast sounds like a really good idea, then we cna cruise to the border... but then I also think its prolly a good idea to meet after the border so its easier to time our arrival at the BBQ...

I guess I will meet u all at Chevron unless we have a big group going for a Breakfast Premeet.

BTW, if you guys dun have passport, its still OK to go to US - so long you get the new Enhansed Driver License (EDL) as it is considered as a government ID
