Mugen rear underbody spoiler

hey guys, I am thinking about doing my next MOD
http://www.collegehillshonda.com/sto...hmugenrear.jpg

but the DIY look pretty scary, all those cutting and drilling are way too complicated for me.

Who live in the Greater Vancouver Area has expierence installing it before?

I can pay for your time if you help me out.

although I'm on the island I can help you for free it's a lot easier than you think. My front cover was pretty easy as well as my JDP rear diffuser.

the price is good too, it includes the shipping, I think the shipping cost alone for that thing is probably over $100 US.

just don't forget about border crossing fees they can make a great deal no so great after wards. I bought a set of Mugen wheels from the states and I had to pay 14% additional plus broker fees once they crossed the border.

What !!! 14% +
I am planning to buy direct from these guys:
Honda Fit Accessories - Genuine 2009-2010 Honda Fit Interior Accessories

have them send to TSB depot address in Point Roberts
drive down and pick up
show the receipt for $500 and pay 12% HST
do I have to pay broker fee or any hidden charges???

I did that with my mugen front bumper. But keep in mind that the box says MADE IN JAPAN. If the officer at the border picks that up, will charge u brokerage rate (could be very costly).

I got lucky and they only charged me 12% on it.

best bet would be to drive down pick it up and install it then drive back through and claim nothing. I'm not advocating breaking the law I'm just saying.

You would expect to spend around 2 hours to install the Mugen rear under spoiler. Additional hands will help to align it correctly.

I did not remove the rear bumper neither. I just cut it while it was on the car. However, you need an air-saw to cut it.

Friend went down to Pt Roberts & picked something up before. Didn't report it & just claimed he went down for cheap gas. Guess what the guys were doing random check & his car got searched. Then everytime he comes back to Canada he gets hassle after that.

That's what he told me and he look pretty pissed everytime he had to deal with the custom officers. So there's no reason for me not to believe his story.

Just the recent trip down to the outlet this past weekend girl friend who went along with me wanted to hide her expensive bag somewhere & I told her to report everything or GTFO of my car

Yes, since the Mugen rear under spoiler has dual exhaust outlet. So you have to cut it for the left exhaust. Otherwise, it will not fit.

I used an airsaw to cut it.

thanks man, sounds like this is a killer MOD to me....
what exactly is an air saw
I can estimate the whole thing may end up costing $800 or more
you guys were saying you have to cut something
does it mean you cut the existing sport rear bumper?
if I were to sell this MUGEN bumper in the future, I will see holes in my OEM bumper, right?
I think with the amount of work and hassels, I have to wait and see later
thank you

Yes, you have to cut the rear sport bumper cover. If you are going to sell the Mugen rear under spoiler in the future, you will have a cut in your sport bumper cover.

Actually, if you follow the instruction carefully, it will come out great. It was my first time as well. I have no background in mechanist. I am just an average shadetree mechanic who try to save money as much as I can.

You can use any type of saw to cut it but I have an airsaw.

If you take it to a dealer, it might charge you an hour or $105 for the installation.
