Another Fitfreak Newbie
Hi All,
I guess with the $2500 rebate there will be a few new faces around here
Picked up my 2010 MT Storm Silver Metallic Fit Sport (Sold out of Taffeta white ) last Tuesday, have to say so far I'm really enjoying this little go-kart. I traded in my beloved IS250awd to save gas + insurance since I drive 80kms a day. Aside from missing a few creature comforts, I can honestly say I'm really happy with my decision!
My first tank only yielded 450kms, I'd say its 70% hwy and 30% city I'm doing, so I'm really hoping to improve on that. Filling up only cost me $42, compared to the $70-75 I used to spend, so regular gas FTW!
Selling some of my old IS parts to fund the few things I plan to do with the Fit. Doing a little searching here, it seems like there are so many choices with suspension, rim sizes and offsets. Anyone know of a reputable shop that knows Fits well? Or anyone here able to offer advice? Basically, I want the most aggressive stance I can get with the best ride comfort and no rubbing.. any suggestions?
TIA

Welcome Nodnarb,
the $2500 rebate is a great buy.
I bought mine this summer and it was only $1500 off
I was in the same shoes as you except I drove a 06 BWM 323i before and like you said the gas was $75+
and my FIT only cost $42 full tank
hey, I got a new set of after market 17" rim for the FIT and I am planning to sell it
will you be interested?
Cheers

Welcome another SSM Fit owner here! We definitely need more SSM guys lol!
Would recommend u to do the first oil change at around 1000km and 2nd one by 4000km-5000km. That's what I did. Engine runs smoother & quieter after I did that.
As far aftermarket stuff for Fit or other Honda, check out A&J racing in Richmond. If u are into the scene before u got the fit, I'm pretty sure u know who they're.

Interesting about the oil change.. my engine seems to be pretty smooth / quiet as is.. now you have me second guessing lol.
Yes, I've heard of A&J. I'll keep them in mind. Thanks.
I think I've encouraged a guy on my hockey team to buy a Fit. Didn't know he was in the market for a new car until he saw mine. We got to talking, I let him take it for a rip and now he wants to buy one. Perhaps another member joining soon? lol

Sorry, I wasn't around to help . I was on vacation but now as I remember he told me you were looking for a SI instead thats why cause we didn't come by one yet. Currently deals are going fast so I think if I can help your buddy for his purchase I'll for sure to get you a rewarded in a way that it'll help you buy more toys for your new SSM Fit.
Happy Motoring !! )

Hahaha I was thinking about the Si or the fit too. Wanted the sedan but they weren't available here in Canada YET when I need a car. Sigh!

Haha. Think I'd prefer to mod the Fit a little bit before I hung out with the big boys around here
With Xmas murdering my income, might be a bit! lol

U never have to show up in a modded fit. I prefer to see nice people in the group more than nice cars.
