Rain X question

This is a simple product but how come I apply a single coat on all my exterior windows and they all become foggy....
is this normal?

aren't you supposed to wipe off the haze after you apply it (like wax)? i've never used it, but i think i read that in its instructions before.

it pretty much is like wax

Yes,Its a silicone product and after the fog drys then wipe it off and the windows are coated. They also make Rain X or similar window solvent fluid, its a little more but it works too.

That depends, but usually a month, Heavy salt will shorten it but thats why I use rain x window solvent fluid and then its good all winter long.

if it's still hazy, it's not too late to wipe it off.

maybe you should read the instructions first lol

with the frost, i find that once you scrape the frost off, it takes off the rain-x effect too. so you'll have to apply more often.

If you put rain x on all the windows the front window gets the most use. It will make it easier to clean and last about a month on the front window. If you go to auto store or Walmart they sell window solvent fluid with rain x already in there for 1 dollar more than regular WS. This way the front window and rear window stay protect through the winter months. You can add more rain x to the window but it has to clean and dry and in a warm atmosphere so it can dry.
