Okay, that is total a warrantee issue. Make sure it doesn't open to the surface and take em to the dealership.

orange spots sound like rust, maybe from metal particles landing on your car, someone drilling nearby etc, i have that on my car too.. they wont cover fallout.. maybe just gotta have the car buffed

yeah but if you read those well, sometimes you need a huge hole on the body from the rust before theyll cover it..

just letting you guys know honda hoods and roofs dont have the same e-coating as the other panels do, so theyre more prone to rust when chipped, etc

its impossible for either of you two to be forming rust
especially with a new car.
considering theres older model cars that have yet to form any rust
or maybe starting to NOW... that's real weird to be honest.

they dont have to drill by you, its in the air, grinding can do it too, etc, maybe from the body shop that painted your hatch, could be anywhere.. just a small speck of metal lands on your car and happens to be wet..

i noticed rust spots on my hatch and it drives me crazy cause my car is white. i found this clay bar thats purple and it takes it right off. use instant detailer and the clay bar and wipe off with a towel. the purple claybar is meant to be used on white or lighter paints if used on a black car it will mess up your paint...

Go in to the dealership and make like your buying a car and ask them how good is the warrantee on the paint. I'm pretty sure they told me if it starts from under the paint then it's covered under warrantee. If they say that then tell fix my car then.

except probably the salesman will say anything to sell the car and the actual guy in charge of fixing them will say another thing.

you are exactly right!

the salesman will tell you that you can hose out your honda element interior, but he wont help you when you have to buy a new srs control unit and pcm cuz theyre full of water..

I should ask my fellow friend that works at tony honda about this situation, when i get my next oil change... I have something on my roof too which is starting to look like rust but i'm not too sure if it is. but i will definitely ask him about whether warranty covers the issue.

That's why you got to catch em in their lie and make em pay. Next time you buy a car you got to bring one of those voice recorders with you.

That's funny about the Element because the salesman told me I could hose out the interior too.

what are you talking about, almost all dealers are like that..

and most salesmen dont know all the facts, they dont deal with warranty issues, if you really look, a lot of the salesmen move from dealer to dealer, they dont care, all they wanna do is move cars.. a lot of salesmen nowadays probably dont know any more about the car than you do..
