The $18,300 Base Manual Fit

Wanna know how to increase your profits?
  1. Start with one base Fit (MSRP of $13,850)
  2. Add Sport wheels.
  3. Mix in a cargo cover, floor mats and a sport grill.
  4. Sprinkle just a dash of keyless entry and a few other low-cost items.
Let sit on lot until first naive or desperate person arrives.

Serves one.......greedy car dealer.

Courtesy of some unnamed car dealership in Beavercreek, OH.

Did someone actually BUY that car at that price, or is it still sitting out there?

It is still there and was the only one on the lot. I purchased my last car from this dealer, and was planning on making my Fit purchase through them, in a few months, but after seeing the way they're attempting to gouge the consumer, I will be visiting elsewhere.

See here's the thing though, if you were to walk into the dealer, and say i want taht car, but i don't want all those accessories on it, then guess what, you can get your wish, cause they can't force you to buy all of that stuff, chance's are that the fit in question may be a demovehicle, which means honda pics the accessories that go on it, and means that the dealer can't sell it for six months, or they are thinking someone will be a sucker and buy that thing.

There are many times when we have a new car come in to our dealership, adn we'll load it up with accessories, but when it comes time to sell teh vehicle the buyer refuse's items, which we then have to take off the vehicle and credit the money back to the sale's department, which in turn of course lowers the price of the vehicle.

Thats why when I ordered my HFP wheels, I insisted that I get my Fit Sport wheels when I purchase the car. So I that dealership wont keep the wheels and turn around and charge someone for wheels that have technically already been paid for.

Well we really dont experience that much snow here in VA, because Im about 20 minutes from VA Beach. But I will put the Sport wheels on in the winter just to save tires and the finish on the HFP wheels.

But winter before last, I had Falken Azenis on my Suzuki Aerio on all four corners. That was not FUN at all in the snow!!!!!

How about this one:

Scott Robinson Honda in Redondo Beach/Torrance.

Fit Sport AT.

$1400 Markup.

$160 Mud Flaps. (this is NOT possible with the Sport, so it's a bulls**t markup)

More $$$ for floor mats.

The Fit Sport was then Right near $19K. WTF.

i've seen a lot worst on fits.

want to overcome markup? just dont buy them. if you want something everyone else wants, prepare to pay for them.
