depends on the size. large ones are more than likely from air trapped between the cling and substrate. and the cling makes a pretty good sealed barrier to not let the air out so if it is a larger bubble it may not go away all the way.

i remember when i was young and used to put up those cling christmas decorations, boy i never got those right.

well no one guessed it right. i prob didnt give good enough clues lol, plus it probably never came to mind it would be a different rendition of something i already sell.

but here it is, the newest item in the DecalDude product lineup, the full JDM style replacement emblem. that is right FULL and REPLACEMENT.

these ones are quite different from my previous gel type emblems that go on the inside to give the JDM look. features of this one are as follows:

Full emblem- this is a whole emblem, thus unlike the previous it doesnt utilize any part of the stock emblem to give it the full look.

Coverage- i specially made this with a hollow backing(i will show pics to better help understand) with a thin lip around the edges. this allows it to sit recessed right on top of the stock emblem, this prevents it from sticking out and looking all bulged. It is backed with 3M adhesive and adheres very well to the stock emblem.

Replacement- Yes, another factor in my design is that you can fully replace your stock emblem with this. It would require you to break off the existing chrome H. It isnt really necessary to fully replace the stock emblem but i made it so that you can if you decide to for some reason. please note that i am not responsible if you go and break off your emblem and then want it back lol. i will probably offer stock replacements eventually.

Originality- These have a darker red, sort of like a burgundy color to them. This makes them look more like the actual type r badge, whereas my other style are a brighter red.

Styling- Since these are a full emblem and give you a whole surface for contact you can change the color easily with vinyl overlays which i will also offer as another product.

Downside??? Well they cost a decent bit more because they cost me so much to make but the quality is great and it will allow a lot more color styles with the overlays.

So there you go, hope you guys like it. I know I prob hyped it up to be much more than it actually is but I have been working on these for so long and put a lot of money in them and am glad that they are finally ready to see out on some nice cars.

Oh and hey---I'm probably going to get an oem arm rest console...how hard do you think it would be to rethread that with black thread?

Damn...that sucks.

I was hoping I could seam rip that out and just whip a new stitch in the existing holes.

Maybe I'll just be super ghetto and find me a black sharpie and a steady hand.

you wont get a very tight stitch doing that. sharpie would be the best bet or take it to an upholstery shop or sewing shop.

give me a little time, it is tough to get this colorlay for the badge accurate lol. the H is raised ever so slighty so vinyl on top of it you can see the impression. so i basically have to get it 100% square on to make it look good. this is prob gonna take a couple hours just on continous tweaking so it wont be available for a bit

Are you doing the H in cf or the surrounding color in cf?

Either one would look pimp imo

no unfortunately the GD is bigger, that is why i had to get a specific set of GD ones of the other version made. this new style will only fit the GE, 8th gen civic, 8th gen accord and AP2 S2000 i think it is, might fit some other hondas but not sure.

i will be having these made eventually for the GD i hope. i havent sold but a few of the others for the GD so there doesnt seem to be much interest in this, spent a lot of money on that so dont know if i wanna drop more on getting these made for them. these ones cost a whole lot more also so if i dont get buyers that is a crap load of wasted money. but yeah im pretty broke right now after putting a lot of money in dif products and with a baby coming in the next two weeks i dont know when it will be that i can do them for the GD if i decide that i want to.
