yeah it is a protective film to prevent scratching during shipping and what not and can be removed if wanted

Here is a quick mini write-up and details showing you the quality of the piece. I'm gonna say it was DEFINITELY WORTH the $10 for this. It's built EXACTLY like oem!

I might even buy one for my spare key!

this is what my key looked like. the black part peeled off. YUCK!!

Use a flat object (needlr or tiny flat head) to pry off the oem one. It's real metal so it's gonna be hard to bend.

Clean off the residue with goo gone. Then clean off the goo gone with rubbing alcohol and to remove fingerprints. Then peel off the backing off the emblem and stick it on.

Completed!

awesome write up kevin, thanks for the post. glad you are happy with the product and price. i know i could have charged more but i wanted a nice affordable alternative for people than having to pay $30+ for just one JDM key fob emblem!!

I DID GET MINE IN TODAY! The mail man was just later than usual. Put it on, and it looks great!

One note I had was that on mine, I had to use my knife to get the emblem off. The flat head was too wide at the point to fit in the tiny little space to pry the old emblem off. Once I got the emblem off, rubbing alcohol was enough to get all the goop off. Perfect fitment, another great product from decaldude.

OK Great writeup. Darn now I want one.

My favorite mod is the keyring light though. It is so useful.

Got these quickly in the mail the other day along with the jdm steering wheel emblem...both product's dimensions are cut precisely to the fraction of a millimeter, and top notch quality. i can't believe how well both of these fit right into the position without looking too big or too small.
