NASA NE Track Schedule 2008

Here is the link to the NASA NE track schedule for 2008....

NASA NE 2008

Anyone looking to get out for a track day can post up any questions or pm me... You can also request me as an instructor if you like.

Track days for beginers consist of in class and track instruction... You are asigned an instructor to ride with you for the day.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You will need a valid drivers license from any State.

What you will be attending is a HPDE (High Performance Drivr Education) event. This IS NOT A RACE... You will need several track days before you can apply for a TT License or attend a competition class to get a Race License. (I hold a Race Competition license).

You start in group HPDE1 (Green / Novice) with a instructor.. then to HPDE2 (White / Beginer) in the car by your self with instructors on request, then HPDE3 (Blue / advanced), next is HPDE4 (Expert & Race License people / Red), lastly is HPDE5 (Instructors / Black).

You will need to develop your skills and move up to HPDE4 before you can get a TT License... Some clubs allow all levels to compete except Green/HPDE1's... That could be safe if done properly on the right track.

How fast you move up depends on you... If you come out on a regular basis you could get your license next year (on average). Some people never advance into HPDE4 other move up in a few months, it all depends on you.

Btw Autox is a good way to start.. cheaper and is a good way to learn car control.

Motorsports NE is the autox division of our race group...

Autocross - HPDE - MotorSports North East

Big race weekend comming up at Pocono on the North Track ....

I'll be racing in the Honda Challenge Series with an Acura in HC4 class and doing the Time Trial Series with my S2000.

Getting pumped up.... can't wait to get some wheel to wheel agression out.... ....

Not sure if any HPDE 1 spots are still open but it is always worth looking into. If you are interested it is always better to book in adavance... Due to the all the racing I'm signed up for this weekend I will not be instructing. But there are always a good crew of instructor on hand to cover all the students.

If anyone is going PM me or post here and I'll answer any questions you may have. I'll also meet you at the track before the event starts if you like to give you some tips on car prep....

Man idk how I missed this section/thread but this is great someone actually into motorsports with their fit. I have been doing autox for 3 years now. Ive done one lapping day at pocono with my first car but that was awhile ago.

Will you be at NJ aug5th/6th? I would love to have a fellow fit owner and honda lover as an instructor.

Goodluck this weekend

I'm real sorry!! I don't know how I missed this post. Anyway I'm planning to be there with my Fit or S2000. So when you register at the track just ask for me as your instructor (Steve Sabatell).

I'll be at the NJ track real soon to get certified on it. Since it is a new track they will be giving the instructors a few days of practice and testing

In the future, anyone requesting track instruction or info, please feel free to send me a personal message or post here.... I work crazy hrs at work and sometimes miss posts. But a message is harder to miss

Three days at Pocono were great two weeks ago... Lots of track time. We did all 5 track configs in the three days.

But, I will not be at NJMP today or tomorrow due to work.....

My next event will be at the Redline Time Attack at Summit Point WV in two weeks (Aug 16-17).

Bump for people looking to track their Fit's.....

Link to NASA NE page; NASA NE 2008

I've recieved a few messages for this info...

Btw I'm down at the Redline Time Attack at Summit Point with my S2k... The comp looks nuts as the mod class allows full race cars this year
I'll just shoot to beat my time from last year that produced a third place in mod and skip this event if the rules don't change next year.

The Fit does not class well either with Redline as they do not have a siphon class like NASA does with the Super Lap Battles. So the Fit would get thrown in with every other FWD car...

Oh well what can ya do? I do have 6 fresh shaved Nitto NT01's on my trailer and plan to use them to their max

After checking the reg it appears that the siphon class is empty right now.... If you show up there is a very good chance that you will place! I'm running my S2k for this in limited rwd so the class is open for all you local racers
