Editorial: Enjoying the clean air? Trump weakens car emissions standards just when we need them the most

Walk outside, look at the sky and take a deep breath. The air right now across much of Southern California, the country, and even the world is sparklingly clear and clean compared with just a few weeks ago.

The automakers don't even want this.

Trump just trying to weaken American automakers for some reason.

 

The standard supported by this administration will be pretty much achieved by manufacturers without even trying. This change will not happen, or will happen after a big long fight. Wasn't there just one regarding emissions? Too lazy to search right now.

 

The Obama era stuff was a big long fight? Is that the one you're thinking of?

To be honest, the Obama stuff didn't even go near far enough.

 

Really I'm not quite sure what it was. It seems like all Trump's assault to the environment is running together! I was going to con people and convince them that new national symbol desired was cleavage. But there never was a dull moment or lag in story line. Trump pretty much has always kept dictating the story line. There was never a dull moment. And yes, a hell of alot of idiot moments where he says something really stupid. Either that, or a big fat lie. And this hasn't let up at all.
