My neighbor let his Accord sit for a year. I caught up with him today. He said that all he did to get it running was put a new battery in it. Thieves had stolen his catalytic converter, so he had to deal with that, too. I am frankly surprised. I would have thought that his gasoline would have turned to varnish, and he would have had some real problems with his fuel delivery system, but I guess not.
