This is my 1986 Honda Elite 80. I bought it at a farm 75 miles from my house. With 6500 miles on it did sort of run and all the parts were there but looked horrible. It was spray painted over the original factory red prior to 1992 and ended up stored in an open sided shed so the orange and blue University of Florida Gator themed paint was either faded or peeling off. The oddest thing was the Florida DMV registration that came with it was dated 1992 and the owner's address was just two streets over from my house. For about 10 years previous I bought old Honda scooters to fix up as a hobby. I'd get them running and sell them for the next one. This Elite 80 was the last scooter project and I've had it since 2010 with about 2500 miles added in possession. After getting the bike running good I wet sanded the plastic panels and did a Krylon rattle can paint job. If you wet sand to 1200 or so and use three very light coats of paint before a gloss coat the finish can come out pretty good for rattle can.

I had an '87 Spree. Fun but dangerously slow.

I kinda want to get into them, they look like a lot of fun. I have some experience riding 150cc scooters down in Florida (I live in Maryland where they're capped at 50cc). If I ever come into some extra money or find one cheap enough, I'd like to get one and maybe throw on a big bore kit and rejet the carb. I've even seen some guys buy Honda or Suzuki scooters and do a GY6 150cc swap.

Almost ten years ago, I had an '86 Spree with the optional glove box that came standard on the '87 if I remember correctly. Swapped an AF16 from a '94-01 Elite and rode it everywhere. Got stolen when I was doing some finishing touches on the swap. The headlight is from a Yahama Vino.

I ended up buying this '93 Elite to replace it shortly after the Spree got stolen. The factory AF05 was eventually swapped out for an AF16 from the later models. The only other modification I did was a JDM Tact tail light with clear lenses.

Ignore the clutter in the cargo area.

Also took it to Radwood last year.

My first "bike" was a Vino 125.
That thing was a hoot in traffic. The best part was out-accelerating cars to 30mph. After that it failed miserably for power, but up to that point, it was a blast!
Drivers in cars were so PO'd to have a goofy little scooter beating them off the line!

Scooters are a popular mode of urban transportation. They come in various sizes and engine capacities, making them suitable for a wide range of riders. The Honda Activa 6G is a notable scooter model offered by Honda, known for its sleek design, comfortable seating, and practical features. Its automatic transmission simplifies riding, and it boasts modern amenities like LED headlights, a digital analog meter, external fuel filler cap, and a side-stand indicator with an engine cut-off feature for safety. Licensing requirements for riding the Activa 6G vary by location, so it's important to check local regulations before hitting the road. Overall, the Activa 6G is a popular choice for urban commuters seeking a dependable and stylish scooter.

Cool find. My buddy had one of those in high school and I had a 78 Garelli Gran Sport. We would have tons of run riding around town.
