Password!!!

I probably spent half an hour trying to set a password for this forum on a laptop. They certainly don't make it easy.

I had to click on one thing and then wait for a message. That changed the password. I had to click again to get a new P/W. Then I had to click on a link to change that password. I entered a long P/W, but all I saw were ........ It kept telling me that the two words were not the same. Since I couldn't see them, I had to keep trying. Back and forth, back and forth. With other sites, I would click on "Change password," and after an email confirmation, that would be it. This computer has memorized the password, so I should be okay.

This is a case where a password manager really helps. You just remember the password to the password manager and it fills in the password to individual sites or apps.

Right, but I must enter the password before the manager can remember it.

On mine you can enter it into the manager separately, and then when prompted use the password from the manager but YMMV

I use Bitwarden on my Windows machine, but this was on a Mac Air. I'll have to look into entering the word ahead of time.
