Well...Some good stuff going on!

I just finialized some paperwork with a sponsor! Should be getting some new parts soon. When I get the go ahead, of course I will post but their name has a "2" in it! So new springs (anyone wanna buy my old GF210's?! ) and an exhaust will be on the way...I will have pictures and how-to.

New wheels are on order! RavSpecOnline has THE BEST prices. I e-mailed a couple of folks seen on here and from my Evo days...And 15 X 7's were going to be around $1100 shipped. Well, RavSpec quoted me $885 SHIPPED for 15 X 7 Bronze Work CR Kai's with a +44 offset! So, the wallet came out and they should be here in a week!

jdmland.com also did the hookup. Of course I posted earlier about the JDM goodies that came...Well, the console didn't have the armrest because they were backordered. The guys kept in touch with me while I waited and BOOM! It showed up on my doorstep.

I e-mailed AJ-Racing today...should be ordering the Spoon spoiler tomorrow or so. Trying to justify a $400 spoiler but I will probably go with it.

Other than that, the Fit is doing great. I had to put pontoons on it today because it rained forever here in miami and we are in a drought with water restrictions...So it is dirty as all outdoors.

Congrats for the sponsor. I wouldnt mind slapping a sticker on my car if someone paid for some mods or gas lol.

 

The thing is, I had sponsors for the 500whp SRT that I raced...The Evo which I showed, and now, a couple of months have went by, I have been at my friends shop tuning and dynoing cars, and I miss the mod scene. I promised the wife I wouldn't mod but forget it...I figured I would! There are varying levels be it partial or full...So sometimes you get super discounts...Sometimes FedEx shows up and srops off a ton of stuff. I slowed down because the stuff I wouldn't get, I would pay for and the SRT ended up having a LOT OF MONEY into it. Fully built suspension, engine, tranny, you name it. The Evo was more reserved and the Fit, well, I love this little thing because even aftermarket parts are cheap!

So are they asking you to go attend some car shows or events like that? Or is it just driving your car like its an advertisement?

Maybe 500 miles on the springs. I would like to get $100 shipped for them. Hopefully next weekend I can have them off.

Yeah...For sure. I am heading up to Cocoa in a week or two so I will be passing.

As far as getting sponsored. It was a LOT of letter writing. People don't give you stuff for free and I think the first one I got was 3 or 4 years ago. You have to do shows...You have to race. The easiest is if you get a decently fast car, or even not, and race brackets at a major event like an NDRA, NHRA event, you can get "contingency money"...where if you wear the stickers the day of the race and win...get pics of your car with them on it...Then you get money! Some are like $50...some are $300+.

Other than that, you need to show them what you have done...what you plan to do...any magazine coverage and so on...It is hectic sometimes but decent when you build a reputation.

Sweet Lord! So the mod bug has affected me. Nothing too much but just an update...

And yes...Still waiting on the Work wheels...I THOUGHT that they would be here last week but the tracking number I got was for the hub rings...The wheels are on their way...

I will be getting pics soon when the goodies get here which should be by the end of the week. This gives me all the reason to get rid of the pin stripes but the guy who did them at the dealership said that he can remove them (painted on) but there would be a faint line in the factory paint. So I don't know.

Anyway...figured I would update as I am just in the waiting game now. It isn't anything too nuts as when this new job takes effect, I will be able to go with something a little more wild without the wife freaking out too much.

I'll be in Miami on from the 22nd through the 26th. I'd like to check out your Fit on either the 23rd or 24th if you arent busy during the day. My wife will be at a conference so I'll be hanging out all day lol.

 

For sure! I HOPE that the goodies will be in fully by then. If the wheels get here this week, they are going on Friday because I will be "cough cough" sick!
