yes,,a horn can say MANY different things,,,
like is it polite or rude to beep the guy in front of you when the light turns green and he dos'nt see it???????

 

i usually give them like 3 seconds to notice and then beep. I hate when the light JUST turns green and as I put the car in first the person behind me lays on the horn.

 

yeah some people think you need to get off the line like a drag racer or something,,,zzeeeeecchhhss give me a break!!!!

what really gets me is people who chill in the left lane. Like even after they pass, and thee no one behind them. OCD maybe? lol But more so when people are in the left lane and wont gtf over when I and others are trying to pass.

 

it makes me want to kill someone when i am going over train tracks slowly and at an angle because my car is like three inches off the ground and some a-hole in an suv honks at me. large bumps in the road piss me off aswell. gotta love driving a lowered car.

dumb drivers are just a fact of life. try riding a motorcycle in a city that is over populated with age 70+ residents. guaranteed you will have some road rage by the time you take off your helmet.

 

I guess you can call these pet peeves? Those little things that people do on the roads that just piss you off. Almost beyond getting pissed off.

What grinds your gears?

One for me, and this is goin threw DriveThrus. People that slightly overfill my drinks. UGHH!!! Then you push the straw in and it flows over the lid edges all in the cup holders. Also wet drink cups. Come on, dry them off and be courteous to the customers.

People that put their blinkers on last minute. I mean about 5 feet from the turn off. That usually leads into them smashing the brakes. Youd think its because they dont know where they go but I see it way more often then lost people should do. Hate that! I normally lay some horn on them as they turn. And my horns loud.

Addition with above, people that dont use their damn blinkers. Not so much as making a right in front of me. Say Im trying to make a left and the car coming at me doesnt use their blinker. Shit! I could have pulled into traffic.

SLOW DRIVERS IN THE LEFT LANE! GET THE Fu(K OUT OF MY WAY!!!!!!!!
Because I drive an econo underpowered car does not mean I drive slow.

On occasion; I do slow down. I use my brain and stick to the middle or far right lanes. And if someones coming up fast I move over. As per law.

#1: Slow drivers in left lane... for passing only! (See Mobile Image - Custom Auto Graphics and Signs)

#2: People that don't signal! I'll admit this used to be me, but it's so damn annoying. Especially when actually turning at a spot where you are waiting to pull out!

#3: People going straight in the right lane at a signal! This one probably bugs me the most.

#4: People cutting in front of you out of no where (even worse when I'm on one of the motorcycles!) because they were stupid and decide they wanted to turn right then and there instead of planning ahead.

#5: People pulling out to a divided road and sitting there blocking the left lane of cross traffic! If you are going to pull out (like I do), turn the car at an angle so you don't block traffic!

Trust me you guys got it easy if you don't live in NJ!! We are NOTORIOUS for being @$$holes on the road!
like when somebody SEES that you're about to change lanes in front of them and then SPEED UP to box u in so u can't change lanes.
People go OUT OF THEIR WAY to slow you down, even if it means slowing them down too.
MY #1 PET PEEVE:
By my house there's a fork in the road, its a 2 lane highway. Both lanes go right, and the left lane splits to go left. I hate it when somebody slows me down by getting into the left lane in front of me last minute (as if to go left), and then they continue to go straight! here's a quick paint just to illustrate:

Hahah! I do this. I only do it to slow drivers in the left lane.
Sometimes Ill get in front of them and drive slower than them. As they get over I speed up.
Seriously, thats my absolute HATE of the road. Slow people in the left lane.

FL is pretty bad with drivers. You wouldnt know unless you were here.

People that sit and wait making a right turn. They see you coming in the distance and pull out at the last minute. Do they have a death wish? If thats not enough they proceed to accelerate like theyre in a Hybrid.
WHY? Sometimes I wish I could rear end them and just continue driving.

I remember this one time I was going to work. 730am. Im doing a good 50-55mph (45mph limit) and someone did that to me. Pulled out and did a 0-60 in sometime next week. I quickly got over to the left and got back over in the right lane cutting them off to prevent from hitting another person merging in front of me. I managed to lay on my horn. We get a light and theyre looking at me like I did something wrong?

And just a few days ago; where I work theres train tracks. I go over them in my lowered Fit around 20-30mph. Im behind some lady in a stock G6. She hits her brakes down to idle speed!!!! I beep my horn and she looks at me in her mirror like Im bothering her? WTF!??

Honestly I got over accelerated in 1st gear normally and beat her across the tracks. She proceeded to call me an asshole for beeping at her.

 

Let see my pet peeves on the road, that isn't listed yet.

-I hate when the car in front of me with broken tails lights esp during rush hour traffic.
-I hate when people rides there break ANYWHERE
-I hate when people hit the breaks for NO REASONS
-I hate when people steal your parking spot when you signal for it
-I hate when people don't STOP at the stop sign

HA. this thread is definently going to open a can of worms.....

MY first most hated pet peeve most likely has to be when you are approaching a intersection when its your green, and you see a car creep up on the right side, trying to make a right turn...and then goes ahead with the turn when its obvious that you have to brake(sometimes hard) for you to not hit them. I dont get it with this. Its like you see them look at you, and in your head your like "oh hell no, dont even think about it" while they contemplate making the turn. and then after a moments pause they just GO FOR THE TURN!!!!?! thats when this happens followed by several of these .

is it me or does this happen wayyyy to often? and god, how unsafe is this???

I got another 1. Your sitting at a red light and the guy next to you slowly inches up in expectation of the light turning green. By the time the light DOES turn green, he's practically in the middle of the intersection. At this point you'd think he's gonna gun it and take off. nope. he waits a good 5 seconds before moving another inch into the road, then accelerates like a grandma. WHATS THE POINT of inching up like that??!?? ARGH!

 

I cannot stand people who do not know the laws of the area that they live in. I stop at all red lights before I turn right and get honked at all of the time.

There are two things that go beyond grinding my gears. I loathe people who rubber neck! And I loathe people who are so impatient that they put other people in danger.

Today I was moving a wrecked car to the sidewalk to get it out of danger when a guy freaking drove on the sidewalk to get around the accident and almost took me out! ON THE SIDEWALK! I thought I was a goner. Never mind that there was a GIANT red truck with flashing lights blocking the road!

Loud music while I'm driving in the city drives me nuts. I don't mind the body kits, the huge spoiler, the lights under the body, the rims that spin, the badge that indicates to me what size rim a car has, or the "in loving memory" decal which tells me that person is the only person that lost a loved one. I just can't stand the ****ing loud music. To me that's the most annoying attention whoring thing a person can do. To me it says "LOOK AT ME. I LISTEN TO SHITTY MUSIC, AM I COOL?!" Anyways......

 

well other than what was already said heres what pisses me off... tailgating me... especially when im speeding... like wtf? also at an intersection with a strait lane and nd a right turn lane... when the strait lane is open and sum soccer mom going strait blocks the turning lane at a red so i cant turn on red... not moving over enough when turning in traffic... thus making traffic stop... soccer moms in general, ppl on cell phones... assholes who try to race me cuz i have a red car... new jersy drivers ( no offence but most of u guys take pride on being assholes on the road)...assholes who park next to my car (when i par far away)... assholes who block me in or park about .00001 inches away from my door... ppl who try and follow me when i pass them for driving slow... ummmm ppl who call the cops on my for driving 25 in a 25 assuming im drivng fast cuz im in 1st (happened 2 weeks ago in an are where there was like 23039 stop signs in a rows o i was being lazy nd not shifting). thas all for now lol
