SoCal people!

I've been thinking about taking off to your neck of the woods fairly soon. i have finished my work out here in colorado, and i'll be medically cleared to work in almost a week. i've had life changing events out here, where i have no need to move back to phoenix, and want to try something new.
so i pretty much just want to know of any good areas to live and work. i'm a young chef, so any good areas you guys know of? anyways, if you guys know anyone with an extra room and/or know of any restaurants, shoot me a holla. maybe i'll be at one of your meets soon

edit:

and i miss in & out burger

Yeah, Socal is awesome!! If you want to find a spot in Palms Springs or Riverside try craigslist.com there is normally a lot of places to rent on that site. Good Luck, and Welcome to Socal!!
