My Ipod Is Jacked UP!

Ok here's the deal. My Ipod likes to turn itself on automatically like a few seconds after I turn it off. I checked all around online, and I know I don't have the alarm turned on or anything like that. Heres the kicker If i plug headphones in my ipod, then turn it off, it stays off! I know if you turn your ipod off and plug in headphones or unplug headphones it turns back on. I need your help. If all else fails I will try resetting it to factory settings. Also is there any way I can restore my ipod to its factory settings w/o losing all of the music on my itunes?

All advice is welcomed.

You should be able to restore it back to its factory settings through iTunes. Just click on your iPod when it shows up on the left, and in the window on the right, click the "Restore" button.

This won't return it back to the factory firmware version, but it should reset all the settings back to the factory defaults. This will erase the music that's on your iPod, but it should still be in your iTunes library so you can copy it back on there.

Go to a iPod forum bro.
When my iPhone froze i freaked out. I was literally freaking out lol. So i went on a iPhone forum and told them its froze and it wont turn off and all that, and they told me to hold these 2 buttons for 20 secs, and it did a soft restore. Pretty much saved my screen and iPhone becasue they said if you leave it on till the battery drains it kills the screen. So long story short iPod forums have a bunch of iPod geeks that can hook you up.
