if she started with an 8 gauge, yeh that's big.
but if she gauged it to 8, that's not too big. the plug is probably barely enough to see through. my industrial was pierced with a 14gauge needle and it hurt like a motherflucker. i progressively gauged my lobes to a double 0 and the pain of stretching is unbearable, lol. no more for me.
