New Prelude

Any word on a new Prelude? There were some spy photos about 2 years ago and the best they could figure it was a new concept for the Prelude, but i have heard NOTHING else about it since.

I would think it could be a good option for a S2k with a small backseat to keep practicality. I would look into it for sure.

-anyway- thoughts and ideas are welcome.

I heard a whisper about something but not sure what all to make of it. Let's hope they bring it back, preferably RWD.

What was the spy shot 2 years ago? I never caught that and am now intrigued. lol

the only thing ive heard directly from Honda regarding "rumors" of cars that are being brought back is about the CRX. Nothing about the prelude.

Yea I hope they bring it back. I always been a fan of the 5th Gen ones, 2 of my friends had it and it was clean.

Whats weird is that I have never seen that picture of the "concept" Prelude before. The front kind looks like an Accord now.

If they were to come out with it even if its the prototype I would still get it..

i really think that the concept shown as the prelude looks like a 2door accord. It would be great having again something nice as the last version in production for the prelude.

In other words, the crx, or as Tyler said. the CRZ, is something Honda does plan on selling as quoted from amansworldonline.com:

"Speaking today, Honda’s President and CEO, Takeo Fukui, announced plans to unveil a production version of the FCX Concept at the LA Show in November. The car will then go on sale in the US and Japan during 2008.
Honda also revealed that a car based on its CR-Z Concept – a compact, lightweight sportscar powered by a hybrid powertrain – would also enter production. This stylish coupe will join Honda’s forthcoming ‘global hybrid’ family car, which is due to launch in 2009."

Pic: (only angle i think it shouldnt be redesigned for production)

editing- i just realized, it kindof looks like a sportier insight..ugh, did i just said that?

CR-Z :

Futuristic styling. Hybrid power. Advanced interior design. And it’s all wrapped up in a lightweight, fun-to-drive package. What a concept! It’s the Honda CR-Z concept, to be exact—and it’s making its North American debut at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Shorthand for “Compact Renaissance Zero,” the CR-Z is a forward-thinking exercise in using inspired design and the latest technology to create a vehicle that delivers thrilling performance, as well as a reduced environmental footprint.

I agree, It does look like the accord, but there was some other vehicle similar to the picture that was a prototype by HONDA, not a self manufactured car. It was going to be a sports oriented coupe. IDK. Just a thought. like i said, the last i heard of it was about two years ago so i am not sure anything came of it at all....

p.s. anyone see the honda step-bus concept. hehe.

No, they're making the CR-Z. But the CR-Z is not the CR-X. That's all I'm saying. For now.
