I am off to China a bit later this year; me and my fiance saved up for like 3 years for this trip. Is about 35 days long.
Canada to Beijing,
Beijing to Xi'an,
Xi'an to 9 village valley,
9 village valley to Chengdu,
Chengdu to Chongqing,
Chongqing to Wuhan,
Wuhan to Liuzhou,
Liuzhou to ??? (TBD)
Liuzhou to Hangzhou
Hangzhou to Beijing
Beijing to Canada
Canada to bed
Lots to see and do there, I am going to be a total noob tourist as I can't even string two words together in Mandarin

So far about 2600$ for the round trip tickets. We were able to get two domestic flights for that price as well (Beijjing to Xi'an about 5 days later, plus the return flight to Beijing from Hangzhou). Total budget is around 10K, but odds are I will go way over that... but hey it is a once in a lifetime kind of trip so might as well make the most of it.
Anywhere that gets over 70*F for 2 days in one year. Funny tho, I really want to go to Antarctica. I guess I can't bitch too much about the cold.
From where it sits on the calendar, Thursday should have been smack in the middle of the warmest time of year in Anchorage.
Instead, the high temperature of a mere 56 degrees -- 10 degrees below normal -- equaled a record in the National Weather Service's annals: the coolest high temperature for a July 17.
It was also the rainiest July 17 since 1928 -- a fact that contributed to the National Weather Service's decision to issue a flood warning Friday morning for the Skwentna and Yentna rivers in the Mat-Su.
Anchorage usually has about 15 days that break 70 degrees, but there have only been two so far this summer, said Bob Hopkins, meteorologist in charge at the National Weather Service in Anchorage. And time is running out.

I would also like to tour Europe, and Germany. While in Germany rent a M3 and hit up the Nurburgring

Hasn't been built yet, they have started though, but here it is. But it will depress you if you think oil and gas prices are through the roof. This is what your oil money is buying in the middle east (Dubai) probelm is we still have to pay $5-6K a night. Maybe before I die...that way I can charge it on my card and not worry about paying it back!

Driving to Alaska is a great way to do that. I drove here from North Carolina in 2005. Spent 35 days on the road. Got to see everything I wanted to see between here and there and then some. Took over 25,000 pictures. I was on Active duty military orders so I got into National parks for free. spent 3 days in Yellow Stone, 1 day in Grand Teton, 1 day in Sequoia, 1 day in the Red woods, 3 days in the Bad Lands (US side) 1 day in Canadian Bad Lands, plus a whole lot more. spent close to $3200. But it was in September so we tented in the lower 48 as much as possible, which was alot. cut down on hotel costs.
I'd love to do a long ass trip and hit every state in the US. Another thing that would be awesome would be a trip to every baseball stadium to see a game in each. probably boring for a lot of people, but I am a big baseball fan.
