i wanna ask many ppl's opinions on this, just a heads up, it has nothing to do with politics or anything: i am planning on getting my country's flag on my mid section of my back, more like top area of the spine, and the country's flag is the Chinese flag sorta waving, with all 5 stars and stuff, do you guys think that'd be fine without attracting too much controversy and possible being called "promoting communism"? since everyone could think of china is communist, but to me, it's not that intention...any thoughts?

not there. get it on your left calf so you can wear pants to cover it and shorts when you wanna show it off.

but i would not get a company logo though cause you might hate them later.

i was borned and raised there. the only thing i am worry is that ppl might give me crap about rooting communism and such...but my main intention is just have my country's flag on to remind me i am always a chinese...that's all...there's a really thin line there if i go for it or not..lol

i have a german eagle tattooed on me. some people think its a nazi symbol, but the german eagle was around before hitler, and is still used to this day. i dgaf what people think it means, its my heritage. if someone thinks you are a communist because of a chinese flag, tell them to go screw themselves!!!!

 

tell them they are socialistic for thinking that that symbol mean communism. people dont understand irony at the moment but they will cry themselves to sleep later.

im thinking of getting another tattoo... maybe a grenade this time.

 

that's what i thought too. i mean, ya know how ppl are sensitive with the word China since 2009 started, like money wise, US owe shit load to them, econ is somewhat growing in Asia and not America, etc...but however, i agree the word you used : heritage, i guess i'll start the sketch...and i'll try to post it up sometime soon, and see what y'all think!

i'm about ready to get my first tat. took me long enough to come up with something meaningful and hold value throughout my life:

it's an adaptation of the filipino flag, the three sun rays represent myself and my two brothers; the stars are our individual aspirations.

the problem is that i don't know where i want to put it. i've been back and fourth about my elbow, forearm, or shoulder.. lately i've been thinking of getting it big enough to go from my upper left shoulder blade and wrap around my shoulder to my upper chest and down my left arm so i could expand on the design when i choose to. any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

 

I've got a solid black rectangle on my inner bicep. It means absolutely nothing. :]
