I'm kind of disappointed. New shell, better video card, slower processor, more expensive, big deal... Not a big jump from the previous generations. I'm still happy with my 1.83 Core Duo. Bought it the day it came out in 2006.

Just like the GE-8. More expensive, re-designed, not necessarily better.

wooohoo!
1.83 FTW!!
haha
got that one too!
is your little button for the lid "peeling"
and do you notice it sagging a little in the middle like i can put a paper under the edge and then go to slide it across the front and itll get stuck in the middle haha

little things show its age- but its still awesome as ever
(IMO)

ON THE OTHER HAND--
my parents bought a gateway desktop the week after i got my MPB--
and their computer is barely turning on lol
windows FTL

Haha, are we talking about the same Mac? The 1st Generation White Macbook right? Mine doesn't have a button on top. It's been pretty good about not separating at the edges either. Only sucky thing that happened is that my palm rest started discoloring. Instead of white it started turning yellow. Also my magsafe charger totally ripped apart at the connector area, so I had to replace it. Other than that I've been really happy with it.

1.83 FTW!!!

Talked to my brother and he said from what he has found about about it is the new video card is pretty phenomenal and the processor may be slower but it is newer so it should run just about mono eh mono with the old one.

Yeah, that's what I heard too. But I mean, what's a good graphics card good for on a Mac? It's not like you're doing hardcore gaming or watching movies in HD. I think they should have made a Macbook tablet instead, or something. Or at least make the aluminum available in iPod colors. I'd want a yellow aluminum Mac.

Macbook Pro owners are ballers. I can't afford a $2K laptop. But then again I can't afford anything because I'm a student. Thank God for financial aid!
