2009 Nissan Cube
2009 Nissan Cube
Hey what's up? I'm Paul and I work for MWKS - we're currently partnered with Nissan to spread the word about the North American debut of the Nissan Cube. We're providing people with the opportunity to see the car before it hits dealerships in 2009 through these first-look photos. I've included the brand new pics below, and feel free to use or share them however you'd like. I tried contacting some mods here to make sure it's alright to share this material with you guys, but never heard back, so hope it's cool with you guys.
We're excited about the arrival of this new fuel-efficient compact car. You can see more official pictures and a teaser vid at Nissan Cube | Facebook or visit NissanUSA.com/cube if you're into it.
So what are your first-impression thoughts of the car?

I wouldn't trade my Fit in for it, but it's cool to have more tiny cars on the roads. Hopefully the Yukon and Suburban people will come to their senses and get something less intimidating when they are constantly stuck behind slow cars that get 5x better mileage.
The back end doesn't do it for me as much as the prior gen's did, and the deal-breaker is the stupid CVT. Hate CVT's w/ a passion. Too bad b/c we'll need a new family truckster come this spring and this would've been nice, but the wife won't do MT, and w/ CVT I won't touch it. Still, will probably test drive one anyway for fun.
I think its cool better than the xb and kia soul thats for sure, as usual the Jdm models or the previous gen cube looks way better. Of course we didnt get offered that one. Its a really well built LiL car. If I was buying I new car right now and there was no such thing as a honda fit I would buy it. I like the element better but its a LiL expensive. 6sp tranny would be cool to have once its been turboed.
The funny thing is that I never liked the Element and did test drive the Fit several times. The Element in my mind was a near miss but the the wierd color on the body panels didnt work for me. I loved the Fit but don't like the new 2009's as much as it's a bit too long now in my opinion. The Cube looks very distinct and I like a car that stands out.
