What would you guys think about having a sort of recognition awards for the year of 2008. It would like The Academy of FitFreak.Net Awards.

We could have several categories, such as:

2008 FitFreak.Net Retail Company of the Year (this would be to recognize the single FitFreak.Net sponsoring vendor company that made the most impact on the Forum itself - i.e. they donated time, money, and/or effort to the forum, sponsored contests, things like that)

2008 Honda Fit Aftermarket Company of the Year (this would be to recognize the single company that did the most to provide, or had the best quality aftermarket product(s) or services that made the Honda Fit a more enjoyable automobile during 2008)

2008 Honda Fit Innovator of the Year (to recognize the single company or individual who brought to market the most influential product or service for the Honda Fit during 2008)

2008 FitFreak.Net GD3 Honda Fit of the Year (to recognize the forum's favorite, best, cleanest, tightest all-around, modified GD3 Honda Fit for 2008)

2008 FitFreak.Net GE8 Honda Fit of the Year (same as above, but for the GE8 model)

2008 FitFreak.Net Most JDM, Non-JDM Honda Fit (to recognize the single non-JDM Honda Fit, that best displays JDM parts, whether OEM or aftermarket, and the JDM spirit of modification)

and finally:

2008 FitFreak.Net Member of the Year (the forum member who made an impact and contributed the most to the development of the FitFreak.Net world. In a nutshell, this guy/girl embodies what it means to be a "FIT FREAK!"

Maybe we can have some kind of prize or trophy (donations, no doubt) and also, as a bonus, the winners of each category receives the honor of having the title that they won, as the tagline next to their avatar.

So what do you guys think? Should we start a thread to conduct nominations?

When the Oscars are aired at the end of February, are they for all of the movies that came out in 2009?

No.

The pool of actors and movies from which they choose nominees were the most significant performances from the entire year of 2008. And why would you name the most noteworthy movie/car/item/event or 2008 , "The Movie/Car/Item/Event of 2009" if it was released/built/sold/occurred in 2008?

So that is why I am suggesting they be named * of 2008 because it concerns events and people of 2008.

Edit: There should also be a nomination for Nicest, and maybe something for those who don't have a Fit, like Kyle, Cody (Gbaby2089 I think), other in the Fitless Crew, not to mention myself.

my favorite GE, i don't know who's it is tho....

ray's got the GD one no problem (everyone LOVES his car, easy to see why )

my favorite GE is for sure the Tjin one, but that doesn't count
but my favorite GE that's on the forums is that one on SSR's (i think)

hmmm intersting how would this be handled??? likea poll or somthing and do we submit are cars?

 

It is cool idea as long as it doesn't just turn into a popularity contest as most contests usually do.
