My son (15) and his friend mashed up two tracks together. An instrumental band called Ratatat + an acapella rap track.

i met the guys from ratatat. they are all real cool.

so what did he mix this with? fruityloops?

tell him to try using some quicker paced beats (rave dj's) with old school country (allan jackson)
it sounds suprisingly good.

I took him and two friends to see Ratatat in Hollywood, and was surprised -- I really liked the band a lot. They are playing again in SoCal in April.

They used some iMac program to mix it up -- I'll ask what it was. I'm just a lowly PC guy.
