anime turned live-action

Ugh. Why do they do this? Death Note, Dragonball, and now Full Metal Panic. I hope this is just a rumor. News like this really bums me out.

Mandalay Acquires Rights to Full Metal Panic Movie | /Film

Oh yeah, Zac Efron to play to lead role. Sweet.

Tobey Maguire is supposed to be Rick Hunter when they finally get around to making the Robotech movie.

They are still going ahead with the Voltron film which is being handled by Pharrel's, yes that Pharrel, production company.

They have been working on the live action Eva and Akira for a while now too.

Don't forget Initial D!

okay, strike that. I'm trying to forget live action Initial D. Where the Skyline drifted and the hachi roku gripped around the corner.

ive also heard rumors about steven spielberg directing a live action ghost in the shell. but people have been talking about that for about three years now so who knows if it will ever come into play. i dont think hollywood (or hong kongwood) understands how much of a fanboy following these anime series have. they have to stay true to it no matter what because the fanboys are the ones that will make or break a film.

Live action FTL
I thought the initial d wasnt that bad well no where as near as bad as fist of the north star was that was the worst one yet. Wangun midnight was ok to. But everything else was just horrible. Im to scared to even look at the dragon ball movie!
Robotech and ghost in the shell could be good but we will see.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned "Blood: The Last Vampire" yet. I've seen a trailer for its live-action movie counterpart a few weeks ago...seems pretty promising.

"Initial D" wasn't too bad actually...they could've done a lot worse.

Did the live-action Dragonball movie suck? Haven't seen it to be honest, although I was expecting it to.

^^some d-list actor played as goku, he wasn't even japanese or asian at the very least LoL... like when jean claud van damn played as guile in the live action street fighter movie -- it's just doesn't make sense

on another note, m. night shamalamadingdong is directing the Avatar movie. the character ang is played by a jewish kid and everyone on youtube is screaming about how ang should be japanese .. i guess they haven't realized that the series is based on chinese culture LoL. trailer here:
YouTube - 'The Last Airbender' Teaser HD

i just started watching the Avatar. it's pretty good

PS: hey, my avatar is dancing with your sig LoL!

^^ OHh! I saw the preview for the Avatar movie in the theaters when watchin Transformers. Doesn't look too bad from what I can tell, and the director guy is that shamaalaa (sp? LOL) guy

Avatar is the only anime I've ever watched, but I didn't even watch the entire series.
