Reading Cold Mountain now...I know it's fiction but does give a side of the story not always told. Interesting.

those photos are absolutely incredible. I love the two portraits of Lincoln and the one of General Sherman. We men, today, are sissies compared to any man in these photos. We really have it so easy in this age. My statement excludes anyone serving in the armed forces who saw any action.
