Just picked up a fresh load of snow tonight, anyone need some?

We are supposed to get another 12-18" tonight, and another 5-8" tomorrow! So far only 6" on the ground (the lot I took this in was just plowed)

Will update tomorrow afternoon when it's all done!

Edit: And hello to the Chicago Fit Freak member in the SSM GD3 Sport I ran into at the Shell station on Waukegan/Lake-Cook! Managed to forget to exchange names with all the wind and snow!

Ive heard a few different reports of 34-41 inches of snow. Maybe the wind will just blow it away and it wont be that bad.

So just got back from a buddy's house and holy hell there are drifts well over 3 feet just in my neighborhood. Some of the main roads had some really deep spots too. A good portion of the ride was spent in 2nd gear @ 4500-5500rpm with the wheels spinning to keep momentum plowing through snow that would go up past the headlights and wash over the windshield. It felt like winter rally cross

It is hard to see in the pictures because the wind is blowing between 35-50mph but there is a good 14" average snow depth in my driveway and I just plowed through it with the Fit and some snow tires.
You can see those remaining mounds at the end of the driveway are above the bumper at the lowest!

Well this AM it's sleet and freezing rain on top of the three feet we've accumulated over the past few weeks - this is getting crazy!! Luckily NY hasn't been slammed with that wind - that takes all the fun out of it.

EDIT: Evil - no interest in any more snow - sorry.

I spent something like 4 or 5 hours digging out the driveway with my sister and her kids.

I would shovel the show onto a sled. my sister would take the snow and dump it on a mound in our back yard... then she and the kids would slide down it (to pack it in). Even my 1 yr old niece got in some of the fun. She was so happy.

over... and over... until I was able to move my Fit out of its buried spot.

and now, my back and arms are sore. I need to go for a drive.

Lol Don't tempt me!! Those mounds are still there... and much much bigger!

Nice! I bet you could've done that off the roof!

Tried to get more pictures but the spot where I took those is now covered in 5-6ft drifts! I am trying to get some of the pictures my girlfriend took today, she lives about a mile from the Lake.

I just wish I had video of my drive home from my buddies house @ 1:30AM last night. I cannot believe I didn't get stuck.

Many times there was less than 25ft visibility and there were continuous stretches like 50-75 feet of rolling waves of snow 3 feet deep on the road. The spots where I stopped above to take pics was in between drifts where the snow was like 3"-14". The friggin 50mph wind would make me slide sideways!

All I can say is snow tires are worth their weight in gold!

Snow mounds are turning to solid ice faster than you think... careful out there.
btw, we'll be driving to NY on the 9th with friends. I'm hoping the up coming snows wouldn't be as crazy!
