I want to buy a generator for the house/camping/hunting/etc. and I don't really have a clue.

From the sounds of it, 3000 watts would be enough (if this is grossly over/under estimated let me know). I also like the honda and yamaha brands but if there is a brand that is equally reliable let me know.

Where is the best place to buy them?
