I know, I know, you are probably wondering why in the F is JCrim posting a nerdy video game related thread. Well the truth is, my profession I am a network admin/engineer... so gaming comes hand in hand naturally.. lulz.

In the mean time trying to recoop more money for my track demon and track time and tires and such, I play the $h!t out of some online games. My gf does too with me so this is always a plus. Always have something fun to do with her, this is a man's dream come true. so anyways, on topic!

D3 comes out the 15th. Its free to play online, and you can actually sell crap on the in game auction house for real money through paypal. so you can game and make money, YEAH!

I just recently ordered some parts to rebuild my pc to the latest and greatest, (every 2 years I do this, but this most recent time its been 4 years so I went NUTS!) I got the AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6Ghz 8 core bulldozer and everything else is off the chain too. lol

So who's going to play? Wanta play together? LETS KILL DEMONS!

I am debating whether to build a pc to play.....my last platform lasted me at least 8 years many video cards and mother boards gone through my old tower, until it died. Anyhow the game looks promissing and I'm curious to see if blizzard is going to put a cap on items pricing to keep it sane. Or maybe they won't, I made good money selling my wow characters lol.

 

lol I play wow too but its been super slow lately. maybe with MoP comes out.. until then demons!!!

I played the beta for D3, it doesn't take crap to run it. its very versatile in graphics too! it can run super light for low end pcs or super beautiful!

i played the open beta and my laptop couldn't handle it on the lowest settings and resolution. =( my cpu just can't handle it and at some points it would throttle to 100% and the framerate goes to 7fps. My laptop has a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.27ghz and Nvidia 9800M graphics chip.

Jesus its ok.......step away from the keyboard sir. Lol so is 60 the level cap. I'm getting a pc sometime this month so I can step into the action. I plan on making a wizard, since everyone I know is playing everything else but that.

 

Ohh and btw if I'm not mistaken if you die in inferno don't you lose the character or is that only in hardcore?

 

hahah yeah 60 is the cap right now. if you die in inferno, its just like any other mode, you just have to repair your gear (durability loss 10%). Hardcore mode is where if you die, YOU ARE DEAD! no coming back. screw that.. game is hard.

Still playing. I'm farming the last part of Act 1 to get gold and rares.

 

Lol Dam when i heard 3 was out i was like wow lol I USED TO BE THE SHITTT Had all the good stuff sold 3 of my acc for 1g each account had lvl 99 sorc barb amazon necro Lol good times

 

I bet it took you AGES to get to level 99 in D2. I see the same thing going on here in D3, but it's a little more convenient with the Auction House instead of trading for Stone of Jordans or the like.

I hear a lot of the complaints in the forums and threads about D3 and regardless I still find D3 enjoyable. I've recently built a decent Lvl 60 Monk with about 175 MF and a 530 resist. I can solo Act 1 without dying much. I would say I die on rare circumstances for instance when I got vortexed into an arcane sentry while I was on cooldown.

I have tried to farm the early parts of Act 2 with this build but I die way too often (eats up all the profit with repairs). I think my DPS is too low. My monk is 13k DPS and it suits me just fine in Act 1.
