Your good deed for the day.... a call for some help!
Hey guys, I thought I'd seek some assistance from my Fit community.
On Labor Day 2011, my hometown of Bastrop Texas was the scene of the worst wildfire in Texas history. It burned for over a month taking out 1/4 of our county, 96% to 98% of our State Park pine forest, and destroyed over 1600 homes- including my childhood home. My folks are still in a camper trailer out there in the burn zone.
Getting to the point...... there is a contest going right now until the 15th of June from the Coca Cola company that is taking votes on peoples favorite parks. The top prize is $100,000 and the Bastrop State Park has been skipping between 1st and 2nd place. With our state cutting budgets, the park could really use the money in their restoration efforts. There has been a grassroots effort here to get votes. The city and the county emergency management Facebook pages have been trying to get votes. I'm asking you guys to help out too.
http://m.livepositively.com/leaderboard.jsp to vote. Click on the name of the park to vote (Bastrop State Park please) You can vote multiple times.... and please do! Spread the word too!

Thanks guys/gals!
