Fitfreak appreciation

Hey guys and gals,

So I've been a member on these boards for maybe just over a month. I do have to say the community is excellent. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. Minimal bashing towards those who know less. Great help is always appreciated. Thanks for the tenso help, DIY on my parts coming soon. I do belong to several boards, cellphones, computers, what you will, like many of you. I notice a lot of rude behaviour. But it is always nice to come here knowing it is not normal behaviour. Disturbing when moderators and admins participate. Good job Fitfreak. I do enjoy myself here. How about you?

Same here was on another forum for quite awhile got tired of when people did things to do their car getting criticized and getting negative feedback which leads to less participation on the members parts. Here I find a lot more positive feedback and encouragement, which leads to members wanting to share their progress. Everybody has different goals and budgets when it comes to working on their car and there is not just one standard. This is why I appreciate this forum and its members.

Well it certainly has seemed to get less abrasive in the last few months

This forum has a good mix of younger guys and older guys, with a decent grasp of the English lanuguage, which I appreciate. Also less trash talking on cars and seems like a more "if you don't have something nice to say..." attitude.

Pretty much the only good place for Fit info (in English anyway) so it has that going for it.

I'm a big fan of the classifieds on here, half of my parts are from there.

This has always been the 'gentlest' car forum on the internet.

The guys on Cadillac Forums are very helpful and polite.. You have to sign a waiver agreeing to obey the rules or face legal repercussions... I never get on that site unless I'm sober and in a very good mood.

Fitfans is quite nice too. Then again google translator probably doesn't translate all the bad stuff.

Never had a Cadillac myself but if I was going join another forum I would like to get one of these and join a classic VW forum. Seems like they have a huge community.

Join Samba. I always go there for classic VW info. I have a bit of a crush on Bugs but I'm not sure if I could bring myself to buy one. The actual real life community is awesome though from what I've seen through friends.

Talking

I'm glad to say that since 2008 when I got on board it's been a great forum. Plenty of help with a good search engine. Google a Fit issue and you'll wind up here for the fix.
Most Honda owners are not looking for something to bash and from the honda ppl I've been associated with are a fun easy going lot. Here or anyplace and I've talked to a quite afew world wide.

Enjoy your Honda and the ppl you meet along the journey!

Big Mike
