First Damage in the FIT. Rated PG-13.

This was a dumb mistake. I hit a pole at my work pulling it into the install bay. I couln't see them over the hood. Maybe I should do the American thing and sue Honda for my mistake!!

You might say.... OY!! But it was pretty damn funny

The front bumper is only $143 bucks. And the Foglight assembly is another $143 bucks. Paint is the killer at $250.

No matter how experienced you are, there are always those embarrassing blunders. Goes for ever driver. You might want to claim it under 'Paint peeling off front bumper.' Sorry about the mishap!

that's pretty crazy how in none of the stretched area the paint is not chipping.. lol. only in the points of direct contact with the pole do you see a little chipping.

I thought the first pic was your hood... I kinda cringed a little. Then I saw it was just the bumper... Whatever happened to those great 80's bumbers? ya know, the dark plastic ones? Where you could hit other cars (or be hit) and not worry too much?

Take some sandpaper and rub it on the Fit's bumpers. Tadaaaaaa! Black plastic bumpers all good to go

my Fit likes it rough...

I'm really glad that it wasn't my TL. But I probably would have been able to see the poles from the TL.

Sorry to hear about your blind pole inci-"dent".

My wife was backing out of our driveway (lived here for 15 years now).
She managed to back right into our next door neighbor's mailbox mounted on a wooden base.

Our Honda van back liftgate hit the mailbox suffering about $700 damage to the liftgate and $0 damage to the mailbox.

At least your airbags did not deploy!

Poor Honda's I hit the poles from about 6 inches away but at full throttle. I'm surprised that the airbags didn't go off!

I like driving the Fit more with the damage! It's a great conversation starter....

"Wow... That's a cool car! What is that?".....

"Wow... That's a cool car! What the hell did you hit?!"

But.... I'm going to pick up my new bumper today!! I'll be sure to take pictures with the front end apart!

Our mail box is right at the end of the driveway as I back out. I hope I NEVER hit it, cuz it's on a stand of bricks. My luck, it would knock all the bricks down, smash the rear bumper, the neighbors would all come out and wonder what happened, dogs start barking.....and then I'd have to face the wife and explain how I managed to do that......

I don't think that the Foglight covers come with the new bumper....so he'll have to keep the originals

The foglights are on back order. They cost more than the complete bumper. Speaking of which, the bumper has been replaced and painted. All is well in Fit-land. I'm now on hold with that foglight assembly. Several hundred dollars later, it's still funny to me.

A Fit. A pole. A spendy foglight...

Ah jwell....

Sand it out out to a black bumper and proclaim yourself a hard core racer. Also, if someone asks you about the mismatched paint, just tell them you bought it on lay-away!

I was in the store getting groceries one day. When I got home I noticed that my rear passenger door had a nice dent in it. Currently, I am in the process of getting a new windshield because of a STONE CHIP.

Doesn't that make you so FURIOUS! Replacing the whole windsheild because of a single high speed rock.
