Hello from Dayton

I'm Joey, I've got a 08 Fit base 5spd. I'm 26, now medically retired US Air Force.

Bought the car used from a dealer in April 2012, been holding up fine ever since.
It's at 126k on it and still going fine.

I live in Kettering in south Dayton. Anyways here to learn and maybe buy stuff.
I've owned an 01 Civic with a K20 swap, 89 CRX, and a 2004 Mountaineer.

I'm a non certified Honda tech, I had the cert but it expired, so yea. I work on my own cars, but not others.

Other than DD'ing my fit, I'm either working on it, playing some computer games or going to college.

I do but limited funds at the moment.
I'm in Kettering, well that's where I live, and I work in Franklin down by the Pilot truck stop.

Are you the Fit that's parked at a Vinyl place on S Dixie? It's purplish with wheels that change alot?

My fit is an 08 Base with 126k on it. I traded my old SUV for the Fit + 2k. So I figured I did well on it. I went from guzzling gas to sipping and got paid.

I like my Fit so far, it's just underpowered with 84 whp. I had it dyno'd for laughs and got 84. Motorcycles dyno'd more than I did.

Well ill let you know. The only thing I plan on doing is lowering it putting some wheels on. Im more of a computer nerd now than wanting to work on my car.

I dont plan on going crazy with my fit just simple things because its my only car.
I would love to get a turbo MDX motor and put in it but thats way down the road

Ill come to a meet. I wont be doing too much in the summer. I cant come hang out for a lil bit. Just lwt me know where.
If you ever see a silver base fit with a sticker that says "4 Door Love but the love is a heart thats me. My plates are the military ones. I stand out a little.

Doesn't matter to me when we meet. Just as long as I can have some time for getting the car ready, getting away from school, and getting time off work.

I'd say Columbus somewhere to make it more fair to everyone. The people north and the people south. So we can try to draw in alot of people. Plus the cities could meet up and ride out there together at 3500 ish rpm's. LOL

My old civic makes a quick appearance at 2:20 it's the one to the left of Hond Man in the video. I miss that car. K20'd it and 3 weeks later f150 in the passenger side door.

I could do Columbus. I have a friend in Lexington KT that has a CRZ, and another just got a 2013 Fit, so I could probably get them to come up as well.

What K20d my 01 civic? Its alot easier than doing a k20 fit. Between the RSX and Ep3 civic si hatch its pretty much bolt on.

For the Dayton mall meets, they used too in like 05 06 but I havent heard of anything else. Im on a few local to dayton or cincy forums.

The si civic hatch cross member bolts to an 01. It came factory with a k20. Get the k20 of you choice and a few more parts and done.

K20 in a Honda Fit, MMMMM

when my 85hp engine dies and if I'm still alive, I'm thinking of a different engine in the my fit. I dont know nothing about swaping motor out of a Honda. Way, Way Way back in the day I did a couple of 327 chevy's. I'll I know it is hard work. But a 4 cyl. sounds like fun, well sorta. Im still open to a winter run.

Well when it happens, I'll go as an attendee, but not show. My Fit is way too stock for a car show.
