It doesn't matter at all, unless your car is a Honda.
If it's a Honda, tell us the model and year, the mileage, what kind of
tranny it has, how long you've owned the car, and when you last changed
the tranny fluid.

Re: Vibration when in Reverse
I have a 93 Honda Accord Ex. I am the 2nd owner, It has 145,000 miles on
it. My uncle said that he never did have a transmission flush but that he
changed the fluid at about 100,000 miles. It is a 4 cylinder 2.2 liter. The
vibration started a just over a week ago. This past Saturday I decided to
change my engine oil, filter, wireset, distributor cap and rotor. It drove
fine for a day and today on my way home from work I noticed that when I was
driving or came to a stop the car was not running right at stop lights the
RPMs go below the one and when I turn on the headlights they get dim. I
guess I'm having many problems and it would be great if I could get some
help problem solving.

Did you make any adjustments to the alternator belt when you worked on it?
My lights were dimming like yours and the a/c fan motor was slowing down in
traffic. It was a loose alternator belt.

If you washed it under the hood (?) you may just have some moisture
under the cap. Examine inside the cap, and look carefully for red 'dust'
inside the distributor. If you do, do a google search, or search this
group for red dust honda distributor. Or look in the FAQ, mentioned above.
You can change your own tranny fluid, just replace exactly, and use only
Honda Z1. Warm up tranny, Let it drain for ten minutes. Wipe off and
reinstall magnetic plug. Refill. Drive a few days, do it again. Check
the records to see if the valves have been adjusted too.
