CR-V RealTime™ 4-Wheel Drive: What's changed?
I've read a few articles, mainly in the Australian press, that the
CR-V's RealTime™ 4-Wheel Drive system has been improved. The
articles state that this was done mainly in response to criticism of
the lag time before the rear wheels engage when stacked up against the
RAV4.
Does anyone know what's been changed? Any idea on how responsive the
4-wheel drive is now? Do the changes (assuming there are some) appear
in the US versions of the CR-V?
Thanks,
Spimby

True! The RT system is now cam actuated. The concept of Real Time
4wd hasn't changed at all. Basically, it kicks in MUCH faster than
the old system did. The reviews of the new system are quite
positive and has improved slightly the CR-Vs off road capabilities.
