So I entered my Mx-6 in a Mazda Summer Palooza this past week. Registration was free so why not? Washed and waxed her, made her all nice and pretty.

Close to 200 cars showed up and entered. Yes, lots of Mazdas. I was the only 1st gen Mx-6. A few 2nd gens showed and one 2nd gen Rx-7. I had the oldest Mazda there. The rest were newer Mazda3, Mazda6, Proteges and Mazdaspeed vehicles.

All in all I placed 7th in peoples choice out of the 200 cars. Top 10 were awarded. I was very pleased. A few Supras, numerous nice Mazdas, even a Skyline showed.

First time my Mx-6 has won anything. Normally my Fit gets the love. :cool:

aye mami haha I like your 1st gen mx6, nicer than the 2nd gens IMO. Looks a lot like the older early 90 Mustangs, which I like a lot haha must be the mazda/ford connection. Congrats though, I'd be excited to place my car in some show. That rsx is nice though!

 

I love your MX-6. It looks like a baby Skyline. The FMC looks crazy good. I miss my Mazdaspeed Protege now. :(

Nice to see the MX-6 got some respect. Yours is such a nice car.

 

Nice ride. That's some intercooler. I had a burgundy 1986 626GT Turbo (2 door) for 9 years. What a great car!! At that time not many cars had the flush headlights. It was very advanced for its day. The interior was very high-tech. Not sure if all the gizmos carried over to your car. My car had motorized center dash vents, power rear vent windows, electronically adjustable struts, soft touch buttons on the stereo, very advanced manual seat adjusters. I can't belive that I had her for that long and don't even have a photo....probably because in 1990 I bought a red 1986 911 Cabriolet. That car was my baby and it was a sad day when I had to sell her. She only had 17K miles when I got her and was in nearly new condition. That car was definately low-tech compared to my GT, but boy the curves in the sheet metal and sounds she made brought a smile to my face every time I turned the ignition key. Also, nice job on your Fit. The red and yellow look great!

Yes those girls are a bit ugly. Only one that was cool was the one with body. Im sure she looked better with her hair down too. I have a weird thing with hair. :D

Yes thats the RSX-S that got hit. Its been fixed for a while now. Looks good.
Took forever because the shop he took it to sucks. The work is great though.

Current set-up is nice and quiet.... till I hit boost. :D
Wastegate is dumped. Dumped wastegate and 20psi is a screamer.
