Integra 94-01
Rsx 02-06

In Japan the Rsx is still called an Integra. There are rumors Honda might bring back the Integra in 09, who knows. I think the problem was poor sales and the rise of the Civic competing with the Rsx at the $20k price point. The Civic Si is 21-22k? Almost the same price as the Rsx if it was still around. The Civic or Rsx would eat into each others sales/demographics, so I think it's for the better.

Yup I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a coupe version of the TSX in the future. The issue was exactly as stated above in that the RSX and Civic would be eating into each others marketshare. Lexus does not have a "low priced coupe" so that it wont cannibalize its Toyota sales. So chances are Acura does not want to do the same thing.

They stopped making them in 2006, since my friend has one I knew before they stopped making them. They wanted the TSX to be the new RSX, I guess the sales were down. It also gives the new Si a chance to shine, and it really is.

People that have had an RSX-S that buy the new Si's say its a huge down grade. A friend of mine wrecked his 05 Type-S, bought a Si and hates it. Its the closest thing he can get to it though....

that seriously sux...the type r rsx or the type s for those in the states was seriously a nice car...the new civic si however is nice when you put in work...i've driven my bro's civic si and it was pretty fast probably in the mid 4's for 0-60...of course that was after the new comptech supercharger, evo tt exhaust, headers, piping, hondata, and cam gears/shaft we're done to the car...dynoed around (294 hp at the wheel)...this would smoke any rsx...its not exactly slow

Thats a lot of mods and not enough power. :o
The new Si motors are junk, sorry. I'll keep saying it.

My friends RSX-S ran a 14.1@100mph all motor with me driving. Street tires.
Intake, header, exhaust, clutch, flywheel.

Before the clutch and flywheel it ran a 13.4@106mph with nitrous. 2.3 60 foot on street tires.

there is no way in hell you ran a 14.1 with a bone stock engine with just headers...that would mean it performs as well as a F22 C engine or even better your friend was lying

I drove it... And thats what "I" ran.
Theres a slip and I actually trapped 101mph. I just asked him.

Why compare it do the F22? 05-06 RSX-S is a HELL of a motor and the Type-R final gear makes it even better.

I had a 90 Intergra as my first car. It wasn't fast by any means but I still love the looks of the model year.

Neat cars, I remember when the first came out, our neighbor had a silver two (3?) door. A friend had two in his shop, drove both.

Gone now, rust and ricers got them all.

One of the most rust infested cars I have ever seen was a 2 door first generation Integra in Kentucky about seven or so years ago. Had nice new wheels and tires, along with exhaust, but the rear bumper was gone (as in not anywhere on the car), everything it mounted to was gone, the door bottoms, front fenders, front edge of the hood....he did polish the little bit of (red) paint that was still on it, and it was running VERY well on I-65.

I looked into buying one back in 1995 or so when I bought another Merc, but never did. Should have then. Missed out on an early Legend too, but that is another story.

I am sure the later cars are much better on paper, but there was something about those early Integras I really liked.

It's possible with slicks or I/H/E and Hondata. I believe aftermarket Headers gave quite a boost to the k20's.

Would you believe me if I told you people ran mid to low 14's on a stock Integra Type R with just a intake? My ITR ran 14.6 stock IIRC and I'm just an average drag racer.

Btw in his post he listed the mods. I/H/E/clutch/FW. So it wasn't a stock engine with just headers....reading comprehension FTL.

Of course. Its all driver and I know how to drive.
S2K's arent fast... UNLESS you know how to drive them. Most of their drivers cant drive them. In order to make an S2K fast you have to beat the living crap out of them. Rev them to hell and powershift.

When I ran the 14.1 I was racing a modded IS350. He ran a 14.0@103mph, no way in hell a S2K is faster than a IS350. S2K's cant trap 101+ even with bolt ons. Modded they trap 98-99.

I also drove my friends GTO into good times. His best was a 13.8@103mph. Freakin horrible! I ran a 12.7@108mph. Intake and headers. Its the fastest GTO at our track NA. Almost the fastest period!

It's possible with slicks or I/H/E and Hondata. I believe aftermarket Headers gave quite a boost to the k20's.
No flash. The flash isnt safe on the 05-06's with a race header. They run lean. 05-06 RSX-S's are the best year. The motor takes to mods like 89-94 DSM's do.

14.1 is not out of the rsx's capabilities. i've seen them run 14.5 with just intake and exhaust/headers. so plus a flywheel and a better driver 14.1 should be possible. and yea, the is350 is one fast 1/4-miler. my friend took his brand new one to the track and got high 13s
