My mom just bought a 2007 CR-V and i'm tryign to figure out where it's made.
According to the vin, the first digit is "5". Now, 1 & 4 is USA, 2 is CND, 3 Mexico, J is japan... Where is 5?????

it might be Swindon UK, I went for a job interview at the manufacturing plant, at the time; they made the new Civic and the CRV there..

- not sure if it was the 2007 CRV though?

5 is the great country of alabama, where the rdx and odyssey is also made. they quit making US crvs in england, which is "S"

Thats odd, Every CRV I have on my lot (46) is made in Japan. I dont think ive ever come across one at my dealership that hasnt been.

After some investigating The Majority of the CRVs made were coming out of Japan, With very few coming out of East Liberty Ohio.

Your mom's starts with 5J right? thats Ohio.

I still have never seen or heard anyone with one besides your mom.

all the cr-v's i have ever seen on dealer lots have always been ja puh knees.

 

most crvs are made in japan just as of recent past few months did they start making them in usa. at least thats what ive seen on the lot here in jersey.

I make about 200 a day here in Ohio!

 

About 10 percent of what we recieve are us made, (CO) My understanding is that when the Indiana plant opens full production moves to east Liberty.

 

....or at least most of the production moves to East Liberty. That won't be bad at all. It is an easy vehicle to put together...
