UK Hondas

I see loads of messages about US Hondas but is there anyone out there
with information about UK Hondas. I'd like to know any sites I can use
for spares without having to resort to a main dealer.

None in the UK for new parts - Honda penalise any
dealer who steps out of line by offering parts at less
than list price allegedly. I have ordered some parts
from the states, but less places are shipping international
orders now. Also, you have to watch for LHD/RHD
incompatibilities e.g. door lock actuators / window
regulators. If it's a part that doesn't often fail, try the
scrapyard networks.

Al

I dont live in the U.K. but looking things up for a relative there, I came
across this http://www.nipponautomotive.co.uk/ - no experiences to relate
about them. They don't publish prices on the site -- only on request by
e-mail -- but I suspect they'll get their legs broken anyway.:-)

Cheers for that George,

I will email them with the part numbers for a couple of
parts I need and then report back with a price comparison.

For new parts expect to pay dealer price. I buy mine second hand from
breakers - try www.hondaspares.co.uk. You can pick low mileage parts at
very good prices as long as you are prepared to the risk. I had my
drive shafts, alternator, ecu etc from them.
